The Mysterious Islands Movie Premiers this week

On November 25th, The Mysterious Islands (http://www.themysteriousislands.com/) will premiere at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. Viewers will be transported to the far side of the world, where they will meet the strange and unusual inhabitants of a remote island archipelago called the Galapagos. There they will join Dr. John Morris, president of the Institute for Creation Research, Doug Phillips, president of Vision Forum Ministries and a team of adventurers as they cross the black lava rocks of Fernandina Island, track-down the ancient Galapagos Tortoise, study the flightless cormorant and salt-sneezing marine iguana, encounter the dive-bombing, blue-footed booby. Some of the team will even travel far beneath the surface and film without a cage around more than one hundred sharks.

On the Galapagos Islands, the team will battle a theory that changed the modern world, because it was there on Galapagos, that the modern war of the world-views began.

Come to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville to watch the new creation adventure film, The Mysterious Islands, this November 25, the day after the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin’s magnum opus, On the Origin of the Species.

Where did Charles Darwin go wrong with his Theory of Evolution? Come join us as we answer this question as part of a night to remember as the new and controversial film, The Mysterious Islands, comes to Huntsville for a special premiere screening. Meet the film’s executive producer and members of the cast in person and get a behind-the-scenes experience you will never forget.

The screening in Huntsville will be held November 25th at 6:30 p.m.

The cost of the evening’s premiere is $10 per family or $5 for single admission. Space is limited and you must R.S.V.P. Get the word out and come be a part of this special film debut.

There is also a premiere Tuesday, November 24th at the Alabama Theater in Birmingham, AL. The door opens at 6:15, and the ninety minute film will start at 7:00 p.m. Following the screening there will be a short Q and A with filmmakers and crew, along with a poster and picture signing with the cast and crew.

On Animal Planet on Mondays at 8-9 pm central is Sue Thomas FB Eye.
The basic story line is a Deaf woman who gets a job at the FBI working in the fingerprinting department. When an agent discovers that she can read lips she is moved to surveillance work with a team.
This showed originally aired on the Pax network a few years ago, and I believe I have watched every episode. I have never found any problems with it. There is a small amount of action that might scare small children. I recall no bad language, or inappropriate situations.
Sue Thomas is a real person. Her life wasn't quite as exciting as the show, but she is a really neat person. I have seen multiple interviews with her. I have also met the actress who plays her, Deanne Bray. She really is Deaf, and really is a sweet person. There are lots of Deaf actors that show up in different episodes.
There are many references to God and Sue's relationship with him.

It is nice to find shows that can be watched by the whole family.

Movie: The Widow's Might

We saw this movie a couple of weeks ago at a family movie night. It was made by homeschoolers, and is great!

It will only be showing for 1 week at 100 theaters in the country. It will be showing in Huntsville at the Carmike, April 13-18!!!
